AFC Wimbledon: My New Story

Hello readers,

My old blog used to be thefootballgaffer.blogspot.com when I was managing in the Dutch Eerste Divisie side Almere City. Then my computer broke so I lost my saved game and my blog disappeared. So now my computer is up and running I have created this blog.

Now onto the game. As it says in the title I will be Blue Square Bet Premier side AFC Wimbledon. They used to be a very good side when under the name of Wimbledon FC. Then in 2004 they were sold to a businessman in Milton Keynes. Then MK Dons were formed. So now Wimbledon had gone. But they didn't give up and formed AFC Wimbledon. They started to rebuild and now find themselves in the Conference.

So now onto the background of the club.

They are a fairly successful club in the lower leagues. Now onto the expectations for this season.

SoI told the board I could achieve a top half finish and I was given a generous transfer and wage budget. Then my assistant manager gave me a team report.

I have a few decent players according to my assistant but need to strengthen my central midfield area. Now I am coming to the end of this rather long post so I will show you the conclusion of my first press conference.
